About Me

Work Ethos:-

I work with patients from all the major PMIs, referrals from GPs, and consultants as well as self referrals.

Two years ago I was involved in an eighteen month trial of physiotherapy for workers in a large national industry. Providing rapid treatment for injuries incurred at work.

Over the last few years the proportion of whiplash and neck and shoulder injuries in my patient load has increased to around 33%.This is almost certainly a result of the improved access of the injured parties to physiotherapy. This has been brought about by an increased understanding of how much appropriate and immediate physiotherapy treatment can help.

My philosophy of treatment of all problems is to treat promptly after detailed assessment and diagnosis, before a condition changes from acute to chronic.

Research has shown that the more delay there is in instituting appropriate treatment measures the longer the period of the treatment becomes.

Thus dealing quickly with back problems not only minimises the time off work.

It is also possible to keep people at work whilst they are undergoing physiotherapy.
